9. This year is the 40th anniversary of the release of the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – have you ever seen it? Bueller…. Bueller…. Bueller…..

My kids made me watch it over and over again. I'm probably the only person in the country that didn't like the film. It was right up there with Weekend at Bernies. Hated that too. I usually like comedies but these two didn't make me laugh much. I want more out of a comedy evidently. 😁

Has everyone seen it and enjoyed it?

I loved the film when I was young -- I was roughly that age when it came out. But the older I get, the less I like it.

Where did you find this meme?

I've seen it, though it was years ago. From what I remember, I liked it, but it kind of falls apart when you actually think about it. He's terrible to Cameron, who he's supposedly best friends with. Don't remember how he is to his girlfriend, but given that it's a John Waters film, I imagine it isn't great. I dunno. I think it wants to be a lot more "down with the man!" than it actually is.

Again though, it's been a while.

tl;dr: I think it was entertaining enough, if you don't think about it too hard.

I am happy to report, I don't like either of those movies. Never have. I'm more of a Mel Brooks comedy type of girl. Yup, there are some rude and crude bits in them, but I grew up listening to Richard Pryor records. Watching his and Gene Wilder movies. Loved Danny Kaye... Yes, I was born in the late 70s, but I loved the older cinema.

Mel Brooks is a fave of mine. I loved Gene Wilder too. There are tons of comedies that made me laugh and smile.
