What is one totally free thing that changed your life?

Well, it wasn’t totally free but I would say my computer. And years later my iPad. Having a computer changed everything. I was able to learn all about fandoms and communities. I went wild. I’ve only been on DW. For about six years. I learned I could write Fan fiction and talk to. Other people about. I’ve been thrilled ever since.

And something that was totally free would be discovering. DW and AO3. I’ve never been happier.

How about you? What was your turning point?

It is quite something the way computers have changed the world. Hopefully for the better, although I'm not a big fan of ai. I think it uses too many resources for too little results. And having said that I will probably be the first against the wall when the robot revolution comes.

It's been a similar path for me. I'm so glad I found fandom.❤️

This post is full of delight, becauseI love how much the internet has helped all of find "our" people and our kind of stuff.

I suppose on a similar vein mine would be the online games forum that I found in my teens and the people I met there, because I can trace the direct path from there to my current circle of friends and my partner. That forum is why I am where I am right now.
