Challenge #5

In your own space, create a list of at least three things you'd love to receive, a wishlist of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it and include a link to your wishlist if you feel comfortable doing so.

I hate asking for things.

1. Pray for some peace. It's getting uglier in the US.

2. I would love a cool new Sentinel icon. I only have about six total.

3. A little drabble from the Sentinel fandom. I love drabbles.

Have a fabulous Friday.

How about a triple drabble? Spoiler: I was half asleep when I wrote this. LOL!

“Dial down, big guy!” Blair shouted from inside the station.

Jim, already running for the door, skidded to a stop and spun his mental dial down. “Everyone down!”

He dropped to his knees just before the explosion rumbled the ground beneath him. Windows shattered, but the building held. The rest of the team quicky regained their feet and continued the mission to infiltrate the building.

Not daring to breathe, Jim dialed hearing back up and searched for Blair’s heartbeat. It had to be there. He had to be there.

“All… good,” Blair gasped, coughing. “We’re okay. Jim, the bomber. He’s –”

“Getting away,” Jim said, spying a man dressed in tactical gear heading away from the station, carrying an oversized duffel bag.

He immediately gave chase. The bomber may have been a genius at strategy and explosives, but he was no match for an angry Sentinel who had nearly lost his Guide.

“You picked the wrong police station,” Jim said, slapping on the cuffs. “Better luck next time.”

In the end, Blair and Simon were lucky to emerge from their ordeal with minor bumps and bruises. The bomb had been localized – to Simon’s chair – and with some quick thinking he and Blair had been able to get him out of it before it went off.

And while everyone grumbled about the elevator being out-of-order for repairs after the bomb, attached to Simon’s chair, had been dropped down it, no-one really minded. Plus, the Chief of Police was giving Major Crimes a commendation for how well they worked as a team in a crisis situation while managing to keep millions of dollars from being stolen out of their own evidence room.

“Can we agree on no more bombs?” Jim asked.

Blair gave him a kiss. “I’ll see what I can do.”
