Rodney and I are taking Samantha to see Sea World, Disneyland and Universal Studios. It's been planned for a year, but something came up at work and Rodney wasn't sure about being able to go. But he thinks he might be able to sneak out of there. Sam doesn't know that it's back on again. It's a surprise. We're not telling her until the last minute. We don't want her freaking out all day at school. And speaking of school, they encourage grandparent time, so they will send all of her work for the week and her homework for us to do with her. I think it'll be fun. Well, I hope it'll be fun. *grin* We'll all be taking our kindles for down time. LOL I'm excited. Now, just keep good thoughts coming that we'll be able to make it. We should know for sure in a few weeks. Gee, that works out perfectly since that's when we're going. LOL It's a condo in San Clemente, CA and it's right across from the beach. I love the sound of waves.

Thank you, Grey. It was supposed to be a surprise and Rod called and left a message on the answering machine and Sam was out of school and before I could erase it, she heard that we're going to California. She was so excited. I didn't want her to be thinking about that instead of school work. So, we made a deal, she will do extra homework even before she leaves, to help her stay caught up. Then we'll pick up her pages for the trip. Woo Hoo.

Oh, I love San Clemente; such a pretty little town with great shops and restaurants. And yeah, I love the sound of the sea, too! My timeshare is about ten minutes north of San Clemente on PCH: Capistrano Surfside Inn so if you drive up that way, you'll see it on the right. I'd recommend visiting Dana Point Harbor: very good fish and chips at Jon's, neat wine and cheese and various other goody shop called Divine (between Jon's and the praking area) and a bunch of other great restaurants like Wind and Sea right on the water.

If you're stopping for lunch in Coachella Valley/Palm Springs, let me know and I'll join you! There's an easy off/on from I 10 for a Ruby's Diner near the outlet malls off I-10 just past Palm Springs (Morongo Casino exit).
