Wilby Wonderful Review

A friend of mine sent me this movie because she thought I would like it. Well, she was right. I not only liked it, I loved it. It's a wonderful Canadian film and every single character in it was rich with personality. It was fun, sad, happy, heartbreaking and fun again. If you like a character driven movie, then this is the one I would recommend. You'll love it, I'm sure.

I'm not going to say anything more about the movie because I don't want to give away any of the good parts. Some of the talented actors are, Sandra Oh, Paul Gross and Callum Rennie. I kid you not, they were perfect in their roles.

I want to thank Grey again for having me check out something she knew I would love. I hated to tell her she was right again. LOL Everyone go and rent this movie if you can. It's a keeper. I'm going to watch it again this weekend with the hubster.

Not only were you right for me, but my 31 year old son watched it last night and loved it. He said he loved every single character, just like I did. And he thought the ending was super because he hoped it wouldn't end like he thought it would. :)

I'm so glad he liked it. I, too, was afraid it might have a bad ending, but I was pleasantly surprised that nobody died. That's one of the things that really bothers me about so many gay-themed movies, the main characters often end up gay-bashed, dead, or dying of AIDS. So, I try to find movies that have happy endings.

Speaking of which, have you seen BIG EDEN. It's a lovely film, too, and is sometimes shown on the SUNDDANCE CHANNEL or should be in Netflix.

I loved Big Eden. I thought I answered this one yesterday, but that shows you how alert I am. LOL

Anyhow, I really liked Big Eden, but not as much as Wilby Wonderful. That's a keeper. :) Thank you again.

I like both, but for different reasons. BIG EDEN is really sweet and not very realistic. Still, it's a nice love story. WILBY WONDERFUL has more depth and complex characters.
