I hope everyone is having a great week. It's cold and rainy here. Sort of late for winter for us, but with everyone else having winter, I'm not that surprised.

Our grandson, Vincent is having his gallbladder out Friday, so that's our excitement for this week. He's a nervous wreck, but he's staying with us so we can baby him. LOL He likes that part of it.

Still missing our Grace like crazy. I know it gets easier, but when? :(

Wishing everyone well.

Hugs, Patt

Gosh, he's really young for such an operation. Hope everything goes well. {{{Hugs}}}

He has a diseased gall bladder that keep contracting like contractions a woman has during child birth. But his just keep doing it. It took five doctors to find out what was wrong with him. Poor thing. He's 21, so I'm sure everything will be a breeze for him. They recover so much easier when they're young.

Ouch!

It probably took so long because that's so very unusual in a person his age, especially a male. Now that they know, though, they should be able to get it out without too much trouble.

Sending positive thoughts your way.

The doctor asked if anyone in the family had a diseased gall bladder, because it travels in families sometimes. I did. I had mine out in my 20's also. The doctor said he wasn't surprised to hear that. And the oddest thing is, his girlfriend went to the doctor the other day and she might have gall bladder problems. She asked him, "Is it catching?" They both had a good laugh. LOL

Good luck to Vincent. It's not the massive operation it once was, and he should come through with flying colors. (probably even coming home within a day or so.)

Grace has been gone for four days, Patt. Allow yourself to grieve. {{{Patt}}}

He comes home that same day. Do you believe it? When I had mine out in my 20's, I was there for five days afterwards. Things have sure changed. Thank goodness for that. He's going to be just fine.

I watched a stupid commerical tonight about someone feeding their dog and I started crying. It was so sad. Thankfully I was alone. LOL I hate being a wuss.

Yeah, a much easier op than it was, and since you've been through it you'll know what it's like for him afterwards.

As for the commercial - it's the little things that can catch you unaware. It's not being a wuss, it's being human.

*good and healing vibes coming his way*
I hope everything will be all right. *hugs*

And I still cry when I think about my cat, and we had to put him down in November... it gets easier, but you'll always remember... *love*

I'm sure he'll feel so much better when things are done. I'll add him to my prayers.

There's nothing wrong about crying over commercials or anything that reminds you of Grace. (But I know what you mean about being glad to be alone when that happens!)

I know, I hate crying in front of people. Thank you for the prayers for Vincent. He's impressed that so many people have commented and wished him well. He thinks I have a great flist. :) He's right. :)
