I mailed off my first HeroBox today.

What a joy to have filled this box for a perfect stranger and make his month a little brighter. He's on a ship and we email each other back and forth. The water is awful, so we sent a lot of powdered drink mixes for single servings. I had a blast shopping for everything and filling this box until it would hardly close. The postman laughed when he saw how much we had in it. (It was very heavy too, but since it's in that sized box it still only cost ten bucks.) I've already started shopping for next month. (January) This is so much fun. And this guy is so nice and charming. He'll be there until May and then I will be getting a new Hero and it doesn't matter to me if it be man or woman. If anyone has any questions about this project, the site explains it all. It's HeroBox.org and they can always use more volunteers. I might even take up one more, if things go well this next year. I would love that. :)

This is a sad day for me.

I just read that Arnie isn't going to do the Advent Calendar this year and I for one am going to miss it like crazy. They always made me laugh my big ole butt off and made me smile for the entire day. I understand real life and all of that, but that doesn't mean I'm liking it. (((((Advent Calendar))))) Hopefully next year, you might be back.
