Unstuffed cabbage rolls.


INGREDIENTS

2 lbs lean ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 small cabbage, chopped. (I use a large cabbage)
1 cup rice
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt

DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet or dutch oven, brown the ground beef and onions. Drain.
Add the garlic and cook an additional minute.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil, cover, reduce the heat and simmer about 25 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.

Yum! I may have to give that a go. I make a very similar stovetop recipe with ground pork and a pinch of curry powder. It loves to be topped with grated romano.
