April not quite 365 days

1.    Have you ever been fooled by an ‘April Fool’s Day’ joke?

I can't think of any, but I'm fairly gullible, so it could have easily happened with me involved.

I tried to think of a good April Fools joke, but nothing came to mind.

I wrote this to Lucy so I'll copy and paste:

I probably have been fooled but we only play nice tricks in our family.

My best one was that the night before I put my phone in the drawer next to R's head, and set the alarm to ring in the morning with a cockerel crowing. What I hadn't realised was, the sound got louder as it went, and there was a kind of bell noise at the end. So R was woken up by what sounded like a cockerel cycling up the road getting closer. Cockadoodle Rrring! Cockadoodle Rrring! Cockadoodle Rrring!

Another time I put some cotton wool in the hamster ball and left it in the lounge, I was hoping that I could fool CJ into thinking we'd left our white hamster in the ball all night by accident. But the hamster spoilt it by running round his cage when she got up so she could see him safe in his cage.

Today I put my frilly knickers in R's drawer and a toy cat in CJ's glove. R put a toy rabbit in my shower cap.

So it's all harmless where we live.

Brits are generally quite jokey people and enjoy this sort of thing, like the Christmas cracker jokes.

But I would never play a nasty trick on people, those aren't funny.
