The Holiday Season

Normally I dread the season, but I'm ahead on my Christmas cards and my shopping, so I feel pretty darn good about all of it. I just have to get things mailed off beings I'm not going to be here half of the time.

My Mom is having Thyroid surgery on December 12th, so I'm going to stay with my folks from the 8th until the 14th. The doctor said with her age, (79) she should have someone there to help her out for a few days at least. So, that's what I'll be doing. Then I no sooner get home and packed and we'll be off to Houston for xmas with our daughter Chris, son-in-law Brett and our Grand-daughter, Alexa. :) We're so looking forward to seeing all of them.

I still have so much to do, I can't even think straight. [sigh] Off to order some last minute things from Amazon.

I hope you all have a busy and productive weekend. I know we will.

(It's great that you have so much done. I still have a few gifts that need to be purchases, but the others sit in the master closet and mock me, because I don't have the ambition to wrap them. As for the cards... ::sigh::)

Thank you for the good thoughts, Tinn. It's not too major, but when you're 79, everything could be major. :) Right? They love when I come down and take care of them. I spoil them rotten my brother tells me. :)

It was great talking to you yesterday! Donna called too, and I got to talk to her for a bit as well. :)

You take care Patt! I worry about you going and taking care of your mom, but I'm sure you'll be okay. I hope the surgery goes well for her.

Yesterday was busy. I'm hoping today is slower. And as for Christmas stuff- ha. You and KC are always so organized!

I'm not normally organized, Margaret. LOL In fact, I haven't sent cards out in three years, because I didn't start until mid December. So this is a first for me. :) Now K.C. is organized. LOL

You know what was fun? Harassing KC. Kind of like half flirting. Leaning against her and petting her hair and telling her how cute she is... it really bugged her! It was so funny! Totally cracked me up.
