27. Have you received a letter recently?

I haven't gotten a personal letter for months. Not that I write letters either. Maybe I should start. It's so nice to get mail from time to time. We should all start to send letters. I don't know that I have enough news to write a letter about. It's pretty boring. 😁🌹

I have received a letter from my doctor's office, but that doesn't count. It was boring. 😁

Have you received letters recently, and do you write back to them?

I received a letter from my college reminding me to finish a course I enrolled in.

It can be boring. But at least you didn't get any bad letters.

Lol, I actually was talking about the course. C.S. Lewis on Christianity. I decided to take it, but the lecturer is extremely dull and boring compared the other classes I have taken.

How odd, that's it's so dull. Doesn't sound dull, does it?

You would think so, but there's no joy or a glimmer of excitement about the voice. I've heard more impassioned reading of reading of Ikea furniture instructions.

I'm going to celebrate when I finish this course... I'm going to enroll in the Exodus Story course. The lecturer did great with The Story of David.

I used to write letters to my grandmother, but she's been dead for quite a few years now. I don't have anyone else to write to now. I like letters. Emails are so instantaneous and I never know if I should reply to them straightaway or not and if you don't then the email falls off the bottom of the list and you forget all about it. With letters you can take your time.

I agree. I used to love writing to my grandparents for years. They've been gone for a long time. I used to write to old friends back in Iowa, but we eventually lost touch. I think I feel guilty about that.

Sending letters is so expensive here! I always get a shock when I'm sending out Christmas cards...

I agree. THe expense is too much sometimes.

Eu ganhei um cartão de um amigo online e antes disso um doujinshi direto do Japão. Isso conta? Porque a última carta que recebi faz anos. Se quiser eu amaria receber uma carta, podemos trocar endereço (não prometo responder rápido porque nem sei o preço da correspondência internacional). Além de quer teria que perguntar a minha mãe se podemos gastar dinheiro, já que estou sem emprego e ela quem controla as finanças no momento. Mas eu amo cartas e sou muito boa em falar pelos cotovelos.

Sim. Confesso que minha letra deve estar horrível já que não escrevo em papel faz tempos. Antigamente as pessoas faziam clubes para troca de correspondência, mas hoje isso está em um declínio tão grande...
