I'm here once again, darn it. LOL I'll try to be short this time.

Things that are positive in my life.

1. WE have a new Great-Grandson due November 1st. And he lives in Tucson. Yay!

2. I finished my Christmas shopping a little early. (yes, I know it's only September but everything was going to short supply and I have a ton to buy for.) So, now no worries. I have all Birthdays and Christmas for everyone.

3. I am so thankful for all of my live journal and fandom friends. Sometimes I wonder how everyday people do it without all of you. LOL You're all very positive and I totally enjoy your advice, company and just reading your posts from time to time. Thank you for always being here for me.

4. Tonight, I have an extra one because I've discovered a new place on Live Journal. It's the Spook-me Multi Fandom list and I signed up for a story for the end of October. I don't know that I can do it or not. But I chose The SEntinel with Jim and Blair. My creature is vampire. I'm having a blast working on it and I don't even have the prompts yet. I'm really looking forward to this. Just in case anyone else is interested, here is the link to the page to sign up. Signups close on the 15th of the month. What is Sapphire and Steel? I've never heard of it. Is it on Netflix? I always want everything on Netflix. LOL

When she says she's sending pictures for prompts, do you know what she means? I was sort of lost, but decided that was normal for me. LOL

Oh Patt. Don't get me started on evangelizing for Sapphire and Steel or we'll be here until the end of October. *g* Short version is that it was a seventies kidult fantasy/horror series starring David McCallum and Joanna Lumley. It was made on the traditional UK seventies tv budget in regard to the special effects (torch beams stand in a for a monster at one point) but it was regardless very creepy because of good scripts and good acting. NZ is still in the dark ages re internet tv so I don't know if it would be on Netflix or not. I suspect not because it's pretty obscure unless you are of a certain age, shall we say?

So far as Spook Me goes, as Ozsaur points out it is the most pressure free ficathon ever, so don't worry. It's traditional that in addition to your monster prompt that Ozsaur will send you some scary pictures. You can use them for inspiration (or not) as you choose. When I wrote Dirty Water, she sent me two old movie posters. I incorporated Attack of the Monster Crabs into that story, but not the other one. Or when I was writing in Starsky and Hutch, the prompts were classic horror comic covers, and again I used one but not the other

Spook-me sounds like so much fun. I can't wait for my pictures. :) I chose vampire for my creature and was thrilled being able to do that. I'm going to have a blast. Thanks for all of the info.

Now, I'm off to Netflix to see if I can find Sapphire and Steel. keeping my fingers and toes crossed. LOL I love David McCallum. He's still dreamy in NCIS. I'm older, so that would be true. LOL

It's not on Netflix and I'm bummed and it's 30bucks on amazon to buy the series. It says it's five discs. So, maybe just one season, eh? Not that I'm that cheap, but what if I don't like it. So, they have each episode for 1.99. I could watch one and see if I liked it. LOL
