Medical update...

I went to the store today and i actually felt like I was dying. I could hardly walk or breathe. It was most strange indeed. Shannon brought me home and I laid down until it passed and I just figured it was something from my ears acting up. My doc called about 3:00 to find out how I was. I told him I had felt really bad that morning and he said, "That's because your potasium is in the heart attack range. He told me not to take any of the diaretics that they give you for the ear disease. And I have to call him tomorrow and tell him how I feel. Then on Monday I have to have more blood work done. Woo Hoo. :) The results from the xray isn't back yet, so I don't know anything about that. I feel like I"m falling apart. I can't type worth crap tonight. :(

Oh, man, I'm so sorry. Those diurectics are very scary. I have to take potassium with mine.

I'm surprised he didn't tell you to go to the ER and have your potassium drawn right then to get you stabilized. That's nothing to mess with.

Just a little scary, huh? ::shivers:: I feel so badly for you and wish there was something I could do to make things better :: waves magic wand and mutters helpful incantations::

Is your potassium too high or too low. If too low, eat bananas to bring it into line. Please take good care of yourself this weekend, don't push too hard, don't over-do things, rest a whole lot ... well, you know the drill.
