We signed the papers yesterday. Woot!

We are officially a family now. Not that we weren't before, but now I don't have to worry about her mother influencing Samantha. We're having a party on December 20th at the park for some of her friends and our friends and family. Sam wanted to celebrate. Rod walked around teasing her tonight saying that now we were going to change her name to Gertrude Penelope and call her Gertie. LOL SAm was loving every moment of it. she's got a great sense of humor. Everyone has asked what to get her and I told them a book. She's just discovering some book series, so it would make a nice gift. (Really, I didn't want gifts at all, but everyone is insisting.) So I figure a paperback won't set everyone back too much. We're so thrilled. And it's so funny to see that the paperwork is good until 2023. Things are going well and going to work out just fine. Thank you all for sharing in all of this with me. You're all the best pals a girl could ask for.

I'm way behind on a lot of things, but having a spare minute of (somebody else's :-)) wireless, and seeing this -- I'm so glad this is working out so well for you. Samantha sounds like a delight (and like she has a good head on her shoulders) and I know with all my heart that you and your husband will be a huge blessing to her.

Thank you, Grey. We're thrilled. You know it can cost up to 4,000. for a lawyer, but I did all the research and filed for us that way and it was much cheaper. More money to spend during the holidays. :)
