I wanted to write a Sentinel story tonight but have no bunnies running around anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions? Long, short in between, I don't care. :)
There have been a few retellings of A Christmas Carol, with Jim the 'Scrooge' character. How about one with *Blair* the Scrooge character, disliking Christmas etc. (commercialism, insincere sentimentalism, etc, possibly channelling Naomi?)
It's been in my ideas folder for ages... but basically Sheila does not do Christmas stories; remember, I grew up with Christmas an ordinary working day here, and even though it's been a holiday for two-thirds of my life I've never quite adjusted to the idea that it's anything special. (Also I was a child during the war years, when things like Christmas took a back seat to the war effort.) Quite simply, I know I couldn't do justice to the idea.
Why not hang onto the idea, and give it a go for next year?
Patt, sorry, but I'm running out of time to write something to go with the black-eyed Santa. Maybe you could play with that idea? I know it amused you when you sent it to me.
On another note, will there be a reverse bang this year or next, where stories are written to fit artwork rather than art being created to illustrate stories?
