Well, they do now. My daughter, Chris got the baby a portable crib, which will be super nice in the small bedroom and she got the other two kiddo's clothing. Lisa, Duncan's Twin came to the rescue and bought tons of new clothes for all three kids and one blouse and scarf for the mom. Then Rodney and I picked up the toys for them. So, they are going to have a nice Christmas after all. She's going to be so pleased, not to mention surprised. And a friend of Lisa, Duncan's Twin is giving me a check for Christmas dinner fixings. So, they will be set. It turned out to be not such a horrible holiday season for her after all. Not that she complained, she's the sweetest girl I have ever met. Gentle and kind and always upbeat. I took some of this away from our day together. :) Grey is right, the holiday season is what you make of it. I'm going to give her some chocolate chips cookie dough rolls and she can bake cookies next week. :) She and our son, love cookies. Tom is really good friends with her. He worked two days extra this week so that he could make enough to get them all shoes and socks. It's working out. I forgot to mention that our other daughter, Shannon, will be making dinner and desserts on Christmas day. So, she's doing her part too. :)

Hugs, Patt

It's so wonderful that you've taken this woman and her children into your hearts. I think that's just the best thing anyone could do anytime of year, but especially now.

I just hope she's kicked the dope who sold all the other stuff to the curb and he doesn't do the same thing with the new. That's the kind of man who doesn't need to be around his children.

She already divorced him and he's not in her life at all. :)

And he's probably unemployed and a deadbeat dad, too. I'm glad he's gone, and hope he stays that way. Men like that don't deserve kids.

Heehee, we should sic Jim on him.

Oh, he would and then later Blair would reward him for his heroic behavior.

What you and your family are doing for this young woman is heart-warming and only goes to show how loving and generous you and your family are. It sounds like she's going to have a nice Christmas after all.

It's fabulous that you've managed to do so much for her, and your family and friends have joined in too. Thank you for making me smile and sniff slightly. ♥

That poor girl must have felt betrayed and horrified when she got home. You and your family and friends must have helped her feel a thousand times better. I'm positive she'll never forget that. {{{hugs}}}
