I've seen a few movies lately and wanted to say how much I enjoyed them all. I will give them ratings of 1-5

Men in Black 3- 3 I only gave it a 3 because it wasn't as much fun as the first two. But I still liked Josh Brolin in it and it did make me smile.

Snow White and the Huntsman-4 I really liked Chris Hemsworth in this movie. I could have cared less about Snow White. LOL That actress doesn't move me one way or the other. BUt I liked the scenery, the darkness and the storyline.

The Amazing Spiderman-4 I loved this. Sure, it was an old story, but I really liked the new kid and loved the new girl. So it worked for me. Not to mention I can say I liked Denis Leary in something besides The Ref.

The Hunger Games-4 Very dark premise, but told very well. I really liked it. I want to get the books now. (Has anyone read the books? And if so, did you like them a lot?)

The Avengers-5 I totally loved this movie. It made me laugh, it kept me involved during the entire 2 and a half hours and I adored the new Hulk. Mark Ruffalo played a wonderful Bruce Banner. I think he's the best since Bill Bixby. :)

We rented THe THree Stooges tonight and I laughed my fool head off. I tried not to like it. I really did, but it still made me laugh. LOL I gave that a 3, also.

We're going to see Expendables 2 on Sunday and we can't wait. There are five of us ladies going and we're all chomping at the bit. It looks like it might be fun. (That's sort of sick, isn't it?)

I have not seen The Dark Knight Rises because I'm not feeling it at all. I'm not wild about Christopher Nolan's Batman. I know, I know, I'm probably the only one that feels this way. So I'll wait for that to come out on DVD before I sit and watch it on my 55 inch tv.

Anyone else have any movies they loved or hated? Tell me about them.

Have a great week.

Hugs, Patt

I don't go to the movies much.

However, I saw Chimpanzee and loved it. I thought it was a really well done nature film.

LOL, I haven't seen the series of Batman movies either, too dark for my taste.

I really enjoyed the new Judi Dench movie, where a bunch of seniors from the UK go to a seniors' residence in India, expecting more than what's there and all that transpires afterward. Very well done.

I read all three books. Very engaging reading, especially book 3. I suspect most readers will have a very subtle shifting of loyalties. Amazon Kindle had a great 3 book combo...

I adored the Avengers and Bruce Banner has become my new obsession. I liked the new spiderman movie, too, and thought that the kids acted like, well, kids, and I loved Sally Field as a much cuter and realistic Aunt May and Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben.

haven't seen the others

I love Mark Ruffalo. He's such a good actor, so I bet they were pleased to get him. I hear he signed a six picture deal with them. Woo Hoo. So we'll be seeing more of him in the next couple of years.

I did too. I even want to see the movie with Drew Barrymore about the whales that are stuck in the ice. I find those type of films to be very relaxing and enjoyable.

I haven't seen the Barrymore film yet, but I might check it out at some point.

I do like films that have animals as their main feature.

I do too and it's a true story. Can't beat that.

Well, it's based on a true story, but not a documentary. I think movies use a big dash of license when they do "true" stories.

Still, it looks like it might be fun.

I'm such a spaz. Of course the movie isn't a true story. LOL It is based and I like those too.
