I’m cooking Lasgna for you, and I hear a knock at the door. It’s bound to be you, it has to be you. I open up the door and you say, “Left my keys in my desk, Chief. I could smell dinner all the way downstairs.”

I let him in the door and close it gently. “I figured you would. How was your day without me?”

“It was horrible, I almost zoned twenty times. Seriously, it was boring without you, Chief.”

“I knew it was bound to be boring for you while I was in the exciting court room all day long.” I kissed my big lug and we walked into the kitchen discussing our days.

This was the life.
