Light Blue

Jim walked up behind Megan Conner and Rhonda, and didn’t say a word. They were deep in a discussion about what color eyes Blair had.

“They’re steel blue.” Rhonda said quietly.

Conner whispered, “No, they’re much lighter. A light blue of some sort. Maybe light cornflower blue.”

“No… Detective Ellison has light blue eyes, Blair’s are much brighter than Ellison’s.” Rhonda was finished with her discussion as far as she was concerned.

“Well, I have to agree, Jim’s are much lighter than Sandy’s, but they both have gorgeous eyes, don’t they?” Conner continued to whisper as she smiled at Blair Sandburg who was watching his lover standing behind the two women, looking evil.

Jim finally spoke up behind them and said, “Why thank you for noticing, ladies.” Both women jumped off of the floor when they heard his deep voice.

“You could have said something, Ellison.” Conner snapped.

“I just did and I agree with both of you on how gorgeous his eyes are. Now should we get back to work?” Jim walked away as the two women blushed.

“What were you doing, Jim?” Blair asked when Jim got to his desk.

“Teasing the girls, Sandburg, just teasing the girls.”

Both men smiled as they got back to work. Jim would have to tell Blair later about the discussion, but for right now, they had work to do.
