Our Grandson Vincent, who lives with us has had a hard time making friends since we've been here in our new town. He hangs with me most of the time, but how boring for a 17 1/2 year old. Well he started working at Quizno's and he has made some friends. He's out with one of them now and I'm a little worried because they said they wouldn't be late. I didn't ask either of them what time late was. DUH. So I'll just wait and hear what they did when he gets home. I'm happy for him that he was with some young people for a change, he was just so darn lonely. Nothing beats working, making a paycheck and having friends. So we're hoping that he'll get off to a fresh start and be happier. We can only hope. And next time I'll give him a time frame to work in. I wasn't thinking about it. We'll both learn from this experience.

There is an underground tunnel that kids around here do Graffiti in and this is Vincent with something he did. He loves spray painting.




Update: He made it home at 3:15. He was at a party and had a wonderful time. I told him next time to call and ask first. DUH. :)

No, just this. He draws in a notebook every single day, but 9 times out of ten it's graffiti type things. He's happiest when he's drawing something. :) He's still not home and I'm officially worried. *sigh*

how late is it with you? It's the middle of the day here. I have a 17 year old girl and I insist that she's back by midnight if she's out with friends. ::bites nails:: Let me know if he comes in m'kay?

He went to a party. He got home at 3:15 and I told him we weren't doing that again. We both learned from this. He hasn't had friends in so long that I forgot they act like twits. :) But he's safe and sound in bed.

I have to say the best investment we ever made was cellphones for the kids.The girls both drive and my son rides his bike home from school about 6 miles.
We found one of those 4 phone deals about 3 years ago and have been more comfortable ever since.The girls both had jobs and paid part of the bill till the older one joined Job Corp and doesn't really get paid right now.
My Mom had this rule too,I could stay out as long as she knew exactly where I was. If I left call before leaving and call on arrival.At least we don't have to wait for landline calls with the cells
They still can't stay out as long as they want.We still own the car! :)
