Something about my brother, Dan.

When my brother, Dan found out he was going blind, he thought his life of making beautiful art was over. But instead of losing hope he began changing his art style to something he could see better and create with ease. Okay maybe not with ease. He was a famous paper-cutter and can’t see any longer to do that. So I’d like to share what he is doing now. It’s still beautiful art, just different. Most of his work is religious, but there are some regular pieces also. I hope you enjoy his work. Thank you in advance.

His use of color is beautiful. It's wonderful that he can still create with his vision the way it is.

Yes, he's very blessed. But he sure misses his old way of life. It's sad, but still uplifting to know he can do this art.

My friend, I've known her since junior high, is blind. She was born that way and didn't have to adjust as an adult. That had to be so hard. I can't imagine what it must take to relearn everything.

He's got macular degeneration. I don't know how it's spelled. One eye is almost completely blind and the other is working on it. He's 74 almost 75. He figures he was lucky to have his sight as long as he did.

That's awful. It's common down here, because of the sun. I wear glasses that change when you go outside. I hope those will help. At least I don't have to remember to change my glasses every time I leave a building.

I think they save your eyes in the long run. You’re very smart. I just started wearing sunglasses. So far I’m doing well with my eyes. Did you see the piece he did for Eukraine? It went to a big church there, I believe.

My left eye sucks. I've always been right eye dominate. The last time I was at the eye doctor he screwed up my prescription on that side. It's no wonder I was having trouble watching TV and reading not to mention driving. Once the other woman in the office fixed it I'm much better.

I'm going to go back and look at his art. I somehow missed tthat It was about Ukraine. I don't know where my brain was. I'm a big fan of the Ukraine. I was rooting for their athletes during the Olympics. They got some more of Putin's territory. Yay Ukraine.
