This movie was the first movie ever made by Adam Baldwin, from Firefly. It's such a good film and I'm going to buy it. I had forgotten how much I liked it. I just wondered if anyone else had ever seen it. I think it came out in 1980. (He was only around 17 at the time.) Does anyone else like Adam Baldwin?

Here is a summary of the movie:
[After years of being sheltered in private school, Clifford Peache (Chris Makepeace) finds life difficult at his new Chicago high school where a tough-talking bully (Matt Dillon) and his pals regularly extort students' lunch money. Refusing to pay up, Peache hires a bodyguard.]

I got Monster's Inc today and it's a very good movie. I love cartoons, maybe because I'm a kid at heart. :)

We still haven't watched Proof yet and don't know if I'm in the mood for it now. It looks very sad and I don't want to be depressed around my Birthday. *g*

Has anyone seen any new movies, either at the theater or DVDs? I'd love to hear some recommendations.

Hugs, Patt

PS: Have a great weekend.

Hiya Patt! It's good to see some chatter on my friend's list. Everyone is all agoggle at the new list, at the moment. *G* I'm sure it will settle down, but I've been sort of lonely on my LJ lately... *sniffle*

I haven't really seen anything new or interesting lately, but I have to say that I enjoyed Monsters Inc much more than I expected to. It was funny and witty, even if just a tad predictable. And I've never even heard of My Bodyguard - it sounds like a good one. Is Adam Baldwin 'Jane' in Firefly? I always thought he looked like a Baldwin but I never checked it out. If so, how's he related to the rest of the clan? (Don't suppose I could get a flow chart of that gorgeously manly family tree?) ;-)

Have you ever seen a movie called My Bodyguard?

Oh man I said I would never "pimp" a list .Then again I said I'd never lj either.Let's see if I can do this right.Um is there a reason you haven't joined?

Patt, this didn't show up in my inbox, so I'm assuming it was directed at you. *G* And if not, then I have to tell you, Aeri, that Patt is definitely a lady that you'd want to count as your friend. ::hugs Patt just because she's so huggable::

Adam Baldwin is indeed Jayne on Firefly, but he is no relation to the Baldwin bros. That's one of the first things he always says. LOL

I love that movie everyone was so good, it was one of those movies that left you feeling good at the end. Proof is difinitely a gut wrenching movie so if you want to watch something light that one isnt' it, lol. The only recent movies I've seen have been Brokeback Mountain and Transamerica, both are excellent. Felicity Huffman was amazing. I'm looking for something fun to watch but nothing has caught my eye. Love action ones so I'll probably check out V for Vendetta next. Been adding to my list so I friended you.

Ever since I saw Natalie Portman in... oh can't think of the name of it. It stared Jean Reno and Gary Oldman, and Danny Aiello. Jean's character was a hitman and she eneded up living with him for awhile. Totally great action movie, very intense scenes, but also sweet and touching. It might be a Luc Besson film it has that feel. So anyways I always kept on eye on the movies she has done since then. John Hurt looks so creepy! Can't wait to see it.

The Professional is one of my favorites. :) Jean Reno is never bad in a movie. Always good. He was even good in French Kiss.

Yes he was good. French Kiss is another of my favorites, because of the wonderful actors in it. So you gotta tell me if you liked Godzilla, so many people hated it but I really liked it. Well Jean Reno was in it so maybe that is why I liked it. LOL. No, really I would have liked that movie even if he wasn't in it. I love Emmerich/Devlin films Stargate, Independence, Day Day After Tomorrow. Babbling now gonna stop. ;) Can you tell I love movies, lol. ::Hugs::

Then there is another for your list of movies to see *g*. Here's a bit of trivia for you there is an O'Neill character in Godzilla. I think they try to use it in every movie they make but I'm not sure.
