We had our last set for 24 years. I'm telling you, we stick with things. LOL Anyhow, there is another chair coming tonight so it won't be so empty on that one side. We didn't realize it was so large. In the huge store it looked smaller. Don't mind the artwork in the dining room, we are getting different pieces for that too. The dining room is very large, so we need big pieces, not the small ones we have. Always something, right? So here are the pics of the table, bench and chairs. The camera made the table look light, believe me it's not. It's pretty darn dark. And the chairs are a dark gray tweed. (Which I love.) The bench is for the grandchildren to sit on so they don't ruin my new chairs. :)

Sam is going to love it. And I love the look of it. :) Benches are wonderful for messy kiddos.

Looks good. But keeping something 'just' 24 years? :-) Much of my furniture originally belonged to my parents and is at least 30 - 50 years old. Some is older. For example - I've replaced the mattress at least three times, but my bed was originally bought some 65, 66 years ago...

I bet it's beautiful. I mean your bed. They don't make them like they used to.

It's certainly sturdy! Same with the rest of my older furniture. There's even a dresser that belonged to my grandparents...

They definiitely made things to last back then.

Oh - that's fabulous! I love it, and the bench is such a good idea - not just for the kids, but if you need to seat several people more than usual, too.

We just love it. :) It's so comfy cozy. I just got new placemats with hummingbirds all over them and they are so pretty. :)
