I mean with me. LOL I was going through such a depression that I rarely did anything except write fanfic. But now I'm working on getting my house back in shape and taking care of Sam. Let me tell you, I'm feeling my age. I used to stay up most of the night and write. Now I'm in bed by 11:00 at the latest. LOL I'm such a wuss. And I'm up every day at 7:00. So as you can see I'm getting plenty of rest, just have lots to do that tires me out. As an example, this is what I'm doing tomorrow.

Washing my sheets for our bed and making it back up again.
Washing sheets for Sam's bed and making it back up again.
Clean the stove, oven and microwave. (Honestly, it's not that dirty but why not keep on top of things, right?)
Clean both bathrooms again. Never ending chore, right?
Do Sam's laundry and hang it all up.
Clean my dresser and my closet out for the Salvation Army. I'm giving away a lot of things.

That's just one of my days. Every day is this busy. I do a lot now and once I get caught up I will write again. But right now I'm focusing on the house and Sam.

Everything is good. Looking forward to a great Thursday. Have a great weekend, everyone.

Hugs, Patt

Making sure Sam is well cared for is important, but you need 'me' time as well... Don't ignore your own needs, and don't overtire yourself.

(My 'in bed' hours are about the same as yours, but two hours earlier - I get up at 5am :-) )

Holy cow, that's too early for me. :) But I do like the new hours of being up. I just need to get the house together and then I can relax again. I'm going to sign up for a SGA art Reverse Bang and I'm excited to do something fun for me. I'm also going away this weekend with my sister, so there is that. Pays to have a good hubby that will take good care of the little one. :) I'm going to start writing next month. I'm looking forward to it. Sheila, the house got out of control because my daughter is a hoarder and she took us with her. So now we have to clear everything out. Sam's room is done. The bathrooms look great, the linen closets are back to normal, thank God and my office is my office again. I'm much happier now and things will be great, you just wait and see. Oh and I forgot about my kitchen and pantry. My son saw it and said, "Man, it looks like you again." I'm very happy and once I'm done with the house I can focus on me time more.

I've always had a tendency to get up early... though if it wasn't for Bobbi it'd probably be nearer 6, and on a dark, wet morning nearer 7 because of sort of hibernating :-) But bedtime would still normally be between 9 and 9.30. That was drummed into me as a kid - go to bed early then you're rested and able to get up in the morning to go to school/work. Of course my parents were young marrieds in the Depression years of the 30s, when if you were late for work you could be sacked...

Yep, I'm up at 5 every morning too so I'm in bed by 9 at the latest too. Let Sam do some stuff to help too. She's old enough and she'll probably love it. And that way you'll get some me time as well.I am glad Sam has such a wonderfully loving home.

Sam does most of the cooking now. And she does help me make the beds and things like that. She's really a nice girl. I have no complaints. Not today , anyhow. LOL

Slowing down and taking time to get things done is good - just don't forget to schedule in some time for yourself here and there!

There's something brilliant about getting completely organised though - it's hard work, but at the same time, you do feel better for it. More in control? I don't know, but I do know where you're coming from *g*

My sisters coming this weekend for a girls weekend. Just the two of us. I can't wait. My son is taking Sam for the weekend. :) Woot! I'm going to have a little power nap after dinner tonight. :) Changes are good. changes are good. I'll just keep saying it and see if my body understands. :)

Sometimes getting the house in order makes you feel better. At least that's true for me.

The writing will come back later after things have settled down and you've gotten into a routine.

Every time I get something done I feel better about myself and the house. So it's working. I hate cluttered mess and that's what I was living in for the last 8 and a half years. It's amazing how depression changes you. Rodney can't believe how much better I'm doing, medically.

I'm glad you're making sure to get enough sleep. I hope you can settle into a routine that's a bit easier for you. Either way, I'm positive Sam appreciates it all.

*hugs tightly* Take care of yourself.

She got home today and vacuumed for me. Wasn't that sweet? I was too tired. LOL I keep telling her I'm old and she keeps laughing like I'm joking. LOL I don't know that kids look at age the same way we do. But in another couple of weeks, the house will be where I want it to be and I can take things much slower and easier. This weekend with my sister is going to be such fun. :)
