It started off like a flu last week and it continued to worsen all weekend. We went to the doctor on Monday and he thinks it's a gastric intestinal virus. He's in rough shape. Poor thing, never takes off work and has taken off five work days so far and it's not over yet. *sigh* We're supposed to leave for Houston on Sunday for our grand-daughters college graduation, but now, not sure if we're going. He wants me to go alone, but I feel guilty about leaving him. All I know is he couldn't travel like that. I feel so bad for him. He has to get way better before he could travel. So everyone cross your fingers and toes for him. He doesn't want to miss Alexa's graduation.

Hugs, Patt

Oh darn! You're poor hubby. And it sucks that he may not be well enough to travel. Kip and I both had gastro at the beginning of the year and it was pretty brutal. I wish your husband a speedy recover! Hopefully he'll feel better very soon!

It took me a good ten days before I started feeling better, but I tend to take longer to get over things than a lot of people. Kip felt better after about seven days.

I don't know about your hubby, but we could hardly stomach any food. My doctor recommended the BRATT diet (Banana, Rice, Apple sauce (unsweetened), Tea, and Toast). It's the easiest food for your stomach and to digest as well, and make sure your husband drinks plenty of water and/or apple juice. I also found that for myself some Ginger Ale with some of the fizz/gas removed helped to settle my stomach.

Hey, really sorry to hear your husband is so ill. Hope he feels better very soon -- remember, lots of fluids and electrolytes! Maybe some yogurt, if he can tolerate it. If nothing else works, applesauce and dry toast can bring relief.

Coming in a little late - I've been away, and although I can download to my iPad, I can't reply to anything.

I hope he's feeling a bit better now.

He had a really good night last night, Sheila. So he has hopes that the worst is over. He wants to go, so he's trying his hardest. He went to work today, which says something. Things might be looking up. He's a trooper.

We're here now. Graduation is Saturday. We see Alexa tonight. She's been working non-stop so this will be the first time we see her.
