we petition the obama administration to:
Peacefully grant the State of Arizona to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government.
As the founding fathers of the united States of America made clear in the Declaration of Independence in 1776:
"...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and institute new Government..."
The citizens of the great state of Arizona have the right to stand for their principles. That man is granted unalienable rights, which are not the dispensations of the government, but find their beginnings in God and come from God alone. These are the principles that our forefathers stood for, the principles upon, which our Constitution is based, and those in which we firmly place our belief and resolve.

Let's be realistic here. If the petitions get over 25,000 signatures (which some have - Texas over 100,000) does this mean that secession will happen, NO. But these individuals will be given notice of their dissatisfaction.
Just as I agree there should be a separation of church and government, there should be some autonomy for the states from the federal government.
Look, Pat, there are situations and problems that your state faces that my state doesn't. Hence, state laws and state revenue. I honestly feel the federal government in some cases are trying to take over too much control of the states, such as their lawsuits over such things as voter registration or immigration laws. I think it is a waste of money as it is when it happens...money that could focus on such things as Sandy victims.
