You know you're getting old when...

you have numbness in your arm and fingers and they're going to do a test for the arteries right away. LOL If it's not one thing, it's always another. I'm so tired of seeing the doctor and paying for tests. Geeze, those tests are expensive. I'm hoping they find nothing, but he said if they found nothing, they were going to do a brain scan. I tried to tell him that my brain wasn't in good enough condition for a scan, but he didn't think it was funny. Sometimes they have no sense of humor at all. Thankfully, I love my doc, so I can't really complain at all. He said he was a little worried about some things, but not totally worried. So I'm not either. It might be something simple like a pinched nerve. I'm hoping for that.

I'm not wild about all of the gray hair. But, it's a part of life. Not too wild about the weight I need to take off either. (sigh) But if you feel good, you can't really bitch. Right? Thanks for the good wishes and luck. :)

Hmmm... I've got that! A combination of numbness and pins and needles. Not all the time, mostly in bed if I lie on that side. I've just been thinking of it as trapped nerve, and haven't gone to the doctor with it. Did mention it to the practice nurse a couple of years ago, and she didn't seem to think it was urgent.

Thank you. I'm sure everything is just fine, but he wants to be sure. I like him, he's not an alarmist, but he's also careful. He's been my doc for 23 years, so he knows me well. :)

Older? You're still a chicken!

I've been on pills for high blood pressure for several years (and frankly, I doubt I need them - at least one of the BP tests I had done at the time they were prescribed was well inside the 'normal' range) as well as low-dosage aspirin to keep my blood thinned - the odds on my getting a stroke have to be pretty long :-) (I didn't go to the doctor at the time - the doctor called me to go for a routine check. I felt fine.)
