Gratitude Meme: Day 20

Day 20: Today I am grateful that I have such a loving husband. He's so good to me and never loses patience with all of my medical woes. Then he popped up and said, "I think we'll go for four days in September to see your parents. They miss us." Rod was down in New Mexico and had dinner with my parents while there. It was work related, so he didn't have much time for them, but at least he got to see them. They were thrilled. :) He's an excellent son-in-law. We've been together since we were 16, so my folks feel like after 43 years, he's one of theirs. I am grateful for this too. You can tell by looking at the icon that he's just a really nice, easy going dude who is happy with his ole wife. Ain't love grand? *grin* Who could ask for more then that? Not me. No matter what happens with the tests I had done this week I know that we'll face it together. He's the best.

When we first got married everyone said it wouldn't last. I guess we showed them, eh? LOL We were happy in that picture, we were in Mexico on a cruise. It was a blast.

You're a very fortunate woman. True happiness with someone is genuinely worth more than all the money and fame you can have bestowed upon you. I'd imagine part of what makes it work is that you have the same attitude he does and work things out rather than letting them come between you. Treasure what you have!

Oh Michelle, I do. I treasure all the time I have with him. He is a gem. Today we went for a drive with our pup and looked for an Italian restaurant that is out our way and we've never seen it. WE've heard it's great, so we found it and he said he's taking me next weekend. Woo Hoo. It was a nice drive, a nice day and super nice company. Both Rodney and the pup. :)
