You'll never guess what I found out today...

We're great-grandparents. That's right. God, do we feel old. Vincent's old girlfriend knew he didn't want children, so she respected his wishes. Anyhow they broke up and she was dating another man and she figured the baby was his. Vincent saw her the other day and asked Lindsay if the other guy was the father and she said, "No he wasn't." Vincent knew she was his. He took a paternity test and it was 99.9% sure. She is 15 months old. Vincent has already stepped up to the plate with the child and is giving Lindsay child support without being told to. He doesn't make too much money, but he's still paying 400 a month to her to help with child care. We're quite proud of him standing up for his little girl. There are a lot of men out there that wouldn't have even said anything. But Vincent thinks she looks a lot like Samantha and he had to ask. Lindsay is bringing Jayla over this Friday so we can all meet her and she can get used to being around us. Samantha is super thrilled. She just thinks that Jayla is her cousin. She doesn't understand the whole Auntie thing yet. LOL She's only five. *g* Isn't Jayla a pretty name? We're very excited for Vincent. He always liked Lindsay and is happy that she's turned into such a good mom. He just wished he had known earlier. Anyhow, here are two pictures of her. She's very big for her age. She's the tallest in her day care class, for her age.

She's absolutely adorable, and your Vincent is a great man and a great human being, wow. Family reunion, and knowing you, so much love is going to float around everywhere, it's good for the soul to know something like that could happen!!

We're very excited about meeting her and being a part of her life. Vincent said that she's darling. He got over the stage of not wanting children I guess. When push came to shove, he went with the program. :) We're really proud of him. There are so many dead beat dads that it isn't even funny.

I'm sure she will be part of the family. Lindsay was always one of our faves, so we like her already. And now learning to love a grand-child is the easy part. :)

No, he only found out three weeks ago. That's the first time he'd ever seen her. He had heard that Lindsay had a baby with the guy she lived with and never thought anything about it. He told us about it but wasn't sure until the test came back.

Yes, he's even a tad excited and a tad nervous. LOL But doing the right thing was not a choice to him. It was the only thing.
