it's going to be our 40th Anniversary in Febr., so we decided we wanted to do something really special and that something is a Cruise to the Mexican Riviera. We're so excited. I think we're going to wait to go until April, because it'll be warmer, but not sure yet. :) There are four Cruise ships that we're looking at. Royal Caribbian, Carnival, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Holland. We're been on three cruises in our lives and we loved NCL a lot. But Carnival was great too. Has anyone taken the 7 night cruise to Mexico, leaving from Calif? And does anyone prefer a certain Cruise line over the other, and for what reason. I would love some help in choosing. They are all pretty much the same in price. So it's all a matter of choosing the best Cruise line. I've love some imput. We're getting our passports updated next week. Woo Hoo. We haven't used them in 10 years. It's about time. :) I hope to hear something for some of you about this. I need all the help I can get. :)

Hugs, Patt

PS: I love Cruises. So at least we know we don't get sea sick, eh?

Patt, I love NCL, too, and my parents and brother really enjoyed their Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean. I've done the Mexican Riviera on Celebrity and it was okay, but NCL was better. I have other friends who swear by Holland America, and I think that line gets a bit better rating, but I think dinner time is also 'assigned' and you're assigned to a table with others (I think Royal Carib does the same). I didn't have a good experience on Carnival, so it's not a line I'd ever recommend. I hope the cruise is leaving from San Diego? I was on a ship once that stopped in LA and it was horrible -- took forever to clear customs and immigration, even for the Americans.

Not sure any of that helps? I think the 'best' line would be Holland America in terms of quality. After that, I'd tend to go for NCL.

We love NCL too. We went to the Bahama's twice withh them, and loved it both times. I just went and looked and NCL got the same rating as Holland so maybe we'll stick with NCL.They are a little cheaper too.

Thanks for the info, Marilyn. :)
Have a great weekend.

I don't do cruises, but I have friends who go all the time, and they always usce Norwegian Cruise Lines. They always seem to have a grand time.

Hope it's a very special thing for you.

I'm leaning towards NCL right now, so I'm with your friends. :) We're really looking forward to it. :) Thanks.

I can ask my sister-in-law if you want, they've gone on a few cruises and she's done all the investigating and booking.

My brother gets motion sickness and he just uses Dramamine. LeeAnn will have trouble with it some day as she gets motion sickness in the car. :)

But that sounds like a lot of fun! That is a great way to celebrate your 40th! But we still get to have a party, right? :)
