I had to have an xray on my left ankle, where I had fallen on it in Feb. It's never really healed up all the way and the doc wanted to be sure it's all right. Then they took a fasting blood sugar, but the doc thinks I'm fine in that department. I guess I'll know in a few days time. He said he wanted me to take a new drug for the Meniere's Disease so we're going to try that tomorrow. I guess that would be today. LOL So looks like I'll be just fine unless something comes back abnomal. We'll see.

I hope you're all doing well.

Hugs, Patt

I have two things to try. ONe is called Meclizine and the other is called, Promethazine. We'll see which one works or not. Have you taken either of these before?

Meclizine is the generic form of antivert and Promethazine is phenergan. I couldn't take either one. They both made me too sedated to function. Some people can tolerate them, but since I live alone, it wasn't feasible since antivert in particular would put me to sleep for about 6 hours. In fact, my specialist actually gave me both of those and told me to take them together. I don't think I got up the whole weekend except to go to the bathroom. When I tried them alone, it wasn't much better. This was before I retired, so I just couldn't take them and even think about working or driving a car.

I have a very low tolerance for any kind of anti-nausea/vertigo medicine because they either knock me out, or in the case of prednisone, another drug often given for Meniere's, it sent my blood pressure too high.

I hope you have better luck with them. {{{{Hugs}}}}

They make me tired too, but not too badly. So I sure can't complain. Hopefully they'll help today and the rest of this week. I'm hoping it's gone soon.
