Parents...

I just got done talking to my mom and found out that her heart is enlarged, from what, they don't know yet. They are going to do some tests, but the doctor told her she can't do anything at the house. No housework, nothing. He said she was very sick and to take it easy and get lots of rest. I don't know anything about enlarged hearts. I don't know what causes them, don't know how to prevent them and sure as hell don't know what to do about it. All I know is she's 82 and very frail right now. I'm worried. She also found out that she has Diabetes and high blood pressure. Looks like I might be making a trip down them sometime soon. Depends on what the doctor says. I was just there the first part of April, but if she's really frail, I need to spend some time with her. *sigh* Don't you hate when you get older and it makes your parents seem that much more frail?

If it's not one thing, it's another. I'm so sorry to hear your Mom has this problem and that Vincent also has worries.

I hope both of them do better soon.

And you're right, it sucks that the illegals get so much, and we in the middle class are left holding the bag.
