I love HGTV too, but can you imagine moving to where-ever the Dream Home is? What if you can't get a job in that area? I'm too practical on that respect, I guess. But it would be fun to win!

Have to sell the house just to pay the taxes and insurance on it. Much less move to California.
Very pretty , except the really open concept. Now if they we're planning on build the house where the winner lives, that would be a different thing.Love the Acadia though.

I agree, the taxes and insurance would be a deal breaker for me. We don't have state income tax. What a nightmare that could all turn into. I'd bet in some states you'd have to pay your state , the CA and the Fed income tax on it.

Can't the winner sell it? LOL I mean we're talking 2 million dollars worth of stuff. I love the SUV too. :) The taxes would kill you in Calif.

I wouldn't move there, I would just accept the prize, pay the taxes and sell it. LOL It's a beautiful home and someone would snatch it up quickly I'm sure. As much as I'd like to keep it as a vacation home, I can't afford two houses. Go figure. *sigh*
