it seems as I grow older, the time goes by faster and I'm not real wild about that. *sigh* I worked non-stop on chores yesterday and plan on doing some more today. This house is going to look great when I'm done. I just hadn't been in the mood to clean lately. It wasn't bad, just dusty and picking up. I made it sound like it was a wreck. It's not. The weather is gorgeous. It was 78 degrees today and I loved being out in the sun and fresh air. It's supposed to drop to the high 60's for the next two days, but then back up to the 70s again. I love Arizona weather. :)

Today is our first grandson's birthday, he is 20 years old. I'm going to try and take some pictures of him and post them up later today. He chose shishkabobs for his dinner and chocolate cake for dessert. It'll be nice having Vincent and his girlfriend, Rikki over to the house. We totally enjoy being with them. :)

We're going to Texas for Christmas, so Vincent and Rikki are going to stay at our house and dog sit, house sit and take care of Shannon. She's still laid up with her leg. So at least we don't have to worry about the house, the dog or Shannon. :) Vincent is a very nice young man.

I hope you're all having beautiful weather and having a good weekend. Hopefully the coming week will be great for you too.

Hugs, Patt

I've noticed that about time going faster the older I get, too! I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by!

Glad you're loving the Arizona weather. I'm REALLY wishing for a white Christmas. *g*

You're very lucky to have a grandson who will help you out like that. That's great!

Have fun in Texas! =>}

Thanks, we are really looking forward to this trip. We always have such a good time seeing our granddaughter, Alexa when we go. She's already 17. Do you believe it? I feel old today for some reason. LOL

I feel old enough with an almost one year old grandson. All I can say is, you must've started out a heck of a lot younger than I did! *g*

We did indeed start early. We had three children by the time we were both 21. And then our daughters, gave us grandchildren early too. So basically I'm only 56, with a 20 year old grandson and the 17 year old grand-daughter and of course our three year old monster. LOL LMAO

I was 23 when we got married, 27 when I had our son, 30 when I had our daughter and 57 when Benjamin was born!

Women in our family used to marry late. My Grandmother got married in 1913 at the age of 31 and went on to have four babies who lived. My mother got married at 26, although she also had her first when she was 27!

Our daughter got married "young". She was 22! LOL. But she was 26 when Benjamin was born. =>}

I read once that the reason time passes faster as we get older is because a year is a smaller part of our life as we age. A year is 1/5 of a five-year olds's life but only 1/50 of a 50-year-olds. Makes sense to me! (It doesn't seem to account for each actual day going faster, does it?)

Enjoy Texas! (Whereabouts in Texas will you be?)

In Richmond, near Houston. :) Our daughter, son-in-law and our grand-daughter Alexa live there. We can't wait to see them. :)

As far as I know, it's coming out on December 24th. So things are going fine. We have 11 stories so far, not huge, but not too shabby either. :)

I totally forgot about Vincent's birthday. I hope you all had a great time! KC and I tried calling you, if she'd been feeling better I'm sure she would have remembered about it being Vincent's birthday. We went to dinner at Red Lobster, and then to see Four Christmases. We were going to invite you along cause we miss you. And I was wondering if you were still going to Texas! That's good about Vincent and Rikki, they will take good care of Shannon and Samantha. I still miss you!

We went out Saturday, the 6th. Bill had worked, and I got over to KC's late. She had a headache, and he sent us off. Yes, we look forward to it too. And Shannon too!
