I'm getting together with two friends and we're having project day. We all sit and talk while working on projects. Art projects, latch hook, crochet and so forth. I'm going to start working on a rug. I just like the visit with my friends, more than the project. :)

I hope you all are having a great week.

Hugs, Patt

I love to crochet, but I can only do it when it's cool. Even with a/c, it's too hot in the summer. However, every fall I bring out the yarn and get started on either an afghan or some scarves. I also like cross stitch, though I think I'd be in trouble with people talking and me gabbing while I was trying to count.

Haven't done latch hook in ages, but used to do that, too. Now, I'm mainly into rubberstamps and card making or scrapbooking.

Hope you have a great project day!

I love your icon. :) What are rubberstamps? Can you explain it to me. Might be something new that I could try.

Rubber stamps are used in printing images on paper. You can buy 1000s of different ones and using different inks and papers, you can make a lot of different kinds of cards. Here's a link that would show you better than I could how much variety is available.

They can be kind of expensive. By the time you by the stamp, the ink, the papers, you could spend some money, but for me it's an enjoyable hobby. I've been buying for years, so I have a good sized collection. For me it's an art form.

It looks fun, but I have a hard time doing any coloring in or anything like that because of my tremors. :( Bummer. I found quite a few sets that looked like something I would totally like. Thanks for the link.

If you choose the right stamp and a rainbow inkpad, one that has a lot of colors in stripes, you don't even have to color in. You can get all kinds of watercolor effects and use other media like stickers and computer generated pictures to make the cards. It's a lot of fun, both in the planning and getting a finished product, no two the same.

Okay, you talked me into it. :) I'm going to give it a try. I'll check out Michaels this weekend and see what I can find that draws me to it. :) Thank you for all of the explanations.

Before you invest in a lot of stuff, I'd go to the library first and get a book on rubber stamping. It'll show you some easy tips so you can save time and money. I hope you enjoy it.

That sounds like a wonderful thing to do!! I wish I knew more people around here who were into that kind of thing.
