Blair was heading home and thinking about how it was his turn to cook. Even though he was late, Jim would no doubt wait for him to start something and Jim would have an excuse for not starting anything himself.
The more Blair thought about it, the angrier he became. It just wasn’t right that Jim expected Blair to do everything even when he wasn’t at the loft. Blair thought he had taught him the essential rules of a partnership, but maybe not. He would have to rethink it when he got home.
When he walked into the loft, it was lit with candles, dinner was on the table and Jim was wearing a big smile. “I knew you would be late, so I made dinner and set the table for us.”
Blair went over and kissed Jim deeply and whispered, “Progress.”
Jim looked a little confused but decided not to ask.
