2025 Question a day

4.    Dry January is a campaign where people choose to abstain from alcohol for the entire month of January (the campaign was started in 2013 by Alcohol Change UK, a UK charity). Are you joining in with dry January?

I’m an alcoholic myself so I’m not sure what I’m supposed to put. All I know is AA frowns on .drinking. 😂 I think it’s a great idea to do now and then. But I’ve been non drinking f’or the last 30 years. Does anyone know a person or persons that actually did this? I just wondered why someone would do this.

I just read this and I don’t want anyone thinking it’s an easy life. But I tend to joke about things when I’m not sure what to say. Can you believe it’s the 4th of January already?enjoy the rest of January.

Oh wow, now I feel bad about going on about my alcohol advent calendars. Sorry if that was hard for you to read. On the other hand, if you're anything like me when it comes to cigarettes, I'm guessing it might not bug you to read about?

I've never really considered doing dry January, but honestly, I don't drink enough to make a difference anyway. I figure the people who do it are people who are starting to get scared that they might be an alcoholic and want to test their reactions to going cold turkey for a whole month. Maybe just to prove something to themselves. Also, one of the grad students I worked with in college used to periodically stop drinking for a month because she said it lowered her tolerance level.
