I've been having trouble catching my breath for about three weeks. So tomorrow I will have my asthma checked out and see if something is going on. They say you should always have it checked when you can't breathe right. I'm sure it's just my asthma, but never hurts to make sure. Right? I've been going to the same doctor for 27 years now and he's thinking about retiring. I told him that he's being selfish. LOL He's only thinking of himself and his family. How dare him want to retire just because he's my age. He always laughs when I tease him about it, but he did promise to tell me way ahead of the game when he does retire. That's one thing bad about getting a doctor of the same age as yourself. What was I thinking? I told him to reconsider. He would be giving up this life for a life of traveling with his wife and kids. Who would want to do that? *grin*

Hugs, Patt (Who is in a very cheery mood tonight.)

Hope it's nothing serious.

I've never been too attached to one doctor (my first doctor was at school with my father) but dentist? Oh, when Mr. Black retired he was so missed... I still miss him, about thirty years later. He was a brilliant dentist. And he only had six months of retirement before he died, poor man.

Hope all is well and that your breathing gets straightened out quickly; really sucks to not be able to breathe well!

(And ack, to lose a favorite doctor -- those can be hard to come by! But maybe he won't retire for a while yet...)

Hope it's just asthma and they can give you something to help. It's not like it could be stress related or anything like that, right? {{{Hugs}}}

I can relate to the doctor retirement. I've got one who's turning 72 and I've been going to this guy since the 70s. He mentioned retiring a couple of years ago, and I'm always worried I'll get a letter that he's gone. I hate changing doctors. You just never know who you're going to get.

Always bug them to get things checked. It might be a simple as needing a slight change to your meds to sort things out.

Exactly. My doctor is very careful with me. He always teases and says we've grown old together. :) He's such a cutie patootie.

It's hard building up a new relationship with a doctor all over again. Mine knows me so well and it would be nice to just keep him forever, but I know this doesn't happen. LOL

I would say the breathing is stress related except it started about three weeks ago. Or maybe 4. So I'm sure it's just my asthma and he'll figure it out quickly. Thanks for the hugs, sweetie.

I'm sure it's just a change in my asthma. IN fact I should just self-diagnose myself and save the money, right? LOL I'll keep everyone posted.

I think he'll stay for another four years or so. So that's nice. And he said he would introduce me to the new doc when it came time so that we could get to know each other. He knows how much I hate changes. He's really a very good man and doctor. He'll probably do an x-ray of my lungs to make sure there isn't something sneaking up on us, but other than that, I should be just fine.

Oh poor thing, but at least he did what he liked for many years before he passed. Good dentists are hard to find, also. I'll probably know what's going on in a few days.

Oh, good luck, luv. Doctor visits are a right pain, but better to be safe than carry on wheezing and wondering why. *big hugs~*

I hope that your breathing is better now and that your doctors appointment went well.

I hate it when someone you like/trust retires or moves on. It can take a long time to find the same connection with someone else.
