We have Christmas liftoff.

If it was up to me, there would be no tree at all, but since we now have a child, things change. Rod put the tree up first thing this morning and put all the lights on it. Then Samantha started decorating her little heart out. It looks so nice. We don't use a real tree, Samantha is allergic to evergreen. It sets her asthma off big time. So we have this fake tree that does the trick for her. She was so excited to get it done. Rod and I were exhausted and both took a nap afterwards. She read on her Kindle while we rested for an hour. LOL She knows what it's like to have old people as parents now. LOL Sam doesn't believe in Santa Clause anymore. She's ten. Rod thinks that's a shame, so he said we're getting one more present and surprising her on Christmas morning. :) He's a really good man.

Now what's more important that our Christmas tree is Secret Santa. Is everyone writing for this? Is anyone writing for this? I hope so. I look so forward to reading something every single day that I would be saddened to find nothing there. Come on guys, let's show Ainm that we still love Secret Santa. :)

It's a great tree!

I'm seriously allergic to evergreen, too, pine, spruce, cedar, you name it. But I still have a tree. Even an artificial one makes it seem more like Christmas.

Oh my - you're starting Christmas early - but it looks fabulous! And you have no idea how nice it is to know other people are allergic to Christmas trees - I spend most of December sniffing, and feel like a right Scrooge! Not that I want other people to suffer too - but it's nice to know I'm not imagining these things!

And yay! for giving Sam an extra pressie on Christmas day. Your guy is fabulous!

I'm not a holiday person except for eating food. lol But, I'm going to bake with Sam and decorate the cookies. She doesn't know yet. She's not expecting it. I used to do it with my kids, figured it was time to show her how it's done. :) She's enjoying the tree. She sat there for hours just watching it. She was so happy. She called the dogs over and explained the tree to them and told them not to get into the presents. LOL Cracked me up.

I am too, Grey. She takes after me. She has asthma and allergies just like me. Poor thing. She's so thrilled with the tree, she doesn't care if it's real or not. And her getting to decorate that was a bonus. Even the dogs seemed to enjoy the tree. Probably because Sam was over there all night. LOL

He is a good man, Snail. Wouldn't trade him for anything. I took care of a whole bunch of things for his ailing mother this weekend and got the Alert1 thingy ordered and we'll see if that helps. She keeps falling. Anyhow, he came in and said he didn't know what he would do without me. I melted into a pile of goo. LOL Thankfully, he's crazy about Sam too. We're going to have a wonderful Christmas.
