the news wasn't that good. THe doctor said, yes the mass had shrunk last time and dad was doing so well, but this time, the mass if larger and he told dad that he wouldn't have to come back in again for another visit. There was nothing left to do. When the time comes they will notify hospice and they will help mom and dad. We all knew that lung cancer wasn't going to get better, but we had hoped. Dad is doing great. He said that he's ready whenever the Lord wants him and if he wants him to stay longer, then he will stay as strong as he can for mom. Looks like I'll be making some extra trips to New Mexico in the next six months or so. Say a little prayer for him, if you could. He could use them, I'm sure.

Hugs, Patt

I was talking to Lisa on the phone tonight and we decided that dad is so hard headed that he'll probably live until he's in his 90s. I was a little blue when I wrote it, but then I realized that he's had a great life and he's been happy through most of it. HOw could you possibly complain about that, right? He's going to be 89 on his next birthday and he's already planning on who is coming to New Mexico for that. So, he's upbeat. Thank you for the hugs.
