my Dad's sister, my Aunt Mary died on Sunday and my dad who is almost 85 is very frail these days and can't make it back to the mid-west for the funeral. (He lives in Albuquerque) He's been very weepy about that too. My brother Pete planned a trip to go and see him on the 20th and my dad was very pleased to hear this but he just figured I would show up too and when he found out we weren't going to come until March, he cried. (sigh) So my older brother bought me a plane ticket to fly down for that week to make my dad feel better. Rodney won't be able to go with me but at least I'll get down there to see him and that's better then nothing. He'll be happy and surprised I'm sure. When I talked to my dad about his sister passing, he said what upset him the most was that she was only 78. She was still so young. I smiled when he said that. Isn't it funny how differently you look at ages as you get older? My mom will be glad that Pete and I are both coming for a visit. She's become quite frail these last few months too. They are finally showing their age. (She's 82) So I'll be gone from the 19th until the 26th. I'll miss my live journal and my email. Although my mom has a computer, I can use that every now and then. But I'm not going to be there for email, I'm going for visiting. (Dang it anyhow.) :)

Oh I almost forgot, hubster is going to Fargo, North Dakota tomorrow for three days. It's for work and the high temperture today was -6 degrees. It's supposed to get colder. I had forgotten how cold it was back there. Rodney isn't looking forward to that at all. I told him to see if anyone talks like the movie, Fargo. He said he hoped they didn't because he would probably laugh his ass off. What a good impression he would make doing that. LOL

I hope you all have a wonderful week. Be happy and well.

Hugs, Patt

Sorry to hear about your aunt.

It's hard when our parents become frail like that. It makes them more human, but it can be very poignant.
