Some bad news for our family.

My brother Chris went to the ER this morning because he couldn't breathe. He's 71. They took an X-ray and admitted him immediately. Then they did a full-body MRI, which the doctor will discuss with him on Tuesday next week. They got him in his room and said they had to do a procedure to extract fluid from his left lung. They took 1 1/2 liters out, and he felt human again. He figured it was pneumonia, but the doctor came in and said, “You have Stage 4 lung cancer”. He explained that they still had a ton of tests to do, and the pulmonologist would be in shortly. This was an Oncologist. So, I have to wait until next Tuesday to find out more. He's got a good attitude. The doctor told him that, with treatment, there was no reason he couldn't live to be 85. If you believe in the power of prayer, please say some prayers for him. Thank you.

What a shock that must have been, but if the doctor thinks there's a good prognosis that must be giving him hope.

That's what we thought too. If anyone could try and beat it, it would be him.

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, and of course I will pray for him. I'm glad they have a treatment plan in mind already.
