If you could visit any time period, what would it be and why? 

I would love to have seen my grandparents when they came to America. They wanted to be here so badly. I could have told them to let their kids learn Greek, instead of telling them you’re in America now, speak English. We all wished we had learned. Same with my grandparents from Italy.

I can see that!

I wish my family knew the languages of our non-English speaking ancestors, beyond the terms everyone knows.

For me it would be 1483, because I've always been fascinated by the Princes in the Tower mystery, and it would give me a chance to find out what actually happened.

(Having said that, I'd want a cast iron guarantee that I'd be able to get back rather than get trapped in the past - ever since I watched Dark, where a lot of characters do get stuck and end up becoming their own ancestors).

Both sets of grandparents acted like they would have to leave the country if we knew the language of the old country. It was sad, really.

Oh, my God. I never thought about getting back. That would be horrible.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't have thought of it myself before watching this show - the guy in my icon gets stuck in 1986, his father in 1953, his brother in 1888.
