March, not quite 365 days, questions.

20. Was learning a new language part of your education when you were at school? Can you still remember any of it?

Yes, I took two years of Latin. And no, I don't remember any of it. I wish I had taken something more beautiful. I'm terrible at languages. I’m not even good with English.

Latin is so useful if you want to learn the names of plants and learn another language. I wish I'd learned it at school.

LOL I took Latin for a year. One day we walked into the classroom to find this on the blackboard: O sibili, si ergo, fortibuses in ero. No one could figure out what it meant, and we had some really smart kids in that class.

So what did it mean? It was nonsense: o see billie, see her go. forty buses in a row. Never forgot that.

I also took French (that teacher was a horror) and Spanish. I always admired people who were good with languages. That's why I make so many of my characters so good with it.
