16. Do you own your own washing machine in your home, or do you use a laundry service/laundry room in the building or a launderette?

I haven’t been to a laundromat in 50 years at least. We have owned a home for that many years. I think once we were waiting for a handyman to fix our washer and we had to take everything down to laundromat. It sucked. It made me much more thankful.

We have a top quilt on our bed that needs to be washed in a launderette because it won't fit in the drum of our machine, and that is a performance. Especially as there aren't a lot of launderettes around any more. But everything else goes in the washing machine at home.

Washing machine, yes. Dryer, no.

You know what? I take mine to dry cleaners. I've never seen the big washers I've heard stories about. Someday I'll check it out.

Because you like hanging things on a line? I do like the clean smell from drying outside.
