Dad went for his checkup today...

the news wasn't that good. THe doctor said, yes the mass had shrunk last time and dad was doing so well, but this time, the mass if larger and he told dad that he wouldn't have to come back in again for another visit. There was nothing left to do. When the time comes they will notify hospice and they will help mom and dad. We all knew that lung cancer wasn't going to get better, but we had hoped. Dad is doing great. He said that he's ready whenever the Lord wants him and if he wants him to stay longer, then he will stay as strong as he can for mom. Looks like I'll be making some extra trips to New Mexico in the next six months or so. Say a little prayer for him, if you could. He could use them, I'm sure.

I'm so sorry the news isn't good luv, but he sounds strong and positive, and at peace with whatever happens - hopefully he'll be around for a long time to come.

I adore all of my fandom friends. :) I don't know how I would get through things without you. Dad is strong and I have a feeling he's got some fight left in him. So we'll just enjoy what time we have left with him. It might be years. :) Thank you for the hugs.
