never a dull monent...

My only sister was out bike riding yesterday. She rides about twenty miles a day. Anyhow, she was minding her own business and a car hit her really hard . It knocked her off her bike in nothing flat. She bounced off the front fender, threw her into the air and she crashed into the windshield. She cracked the windshield and broke her super duper helmet in two. Then she flew onto the street. She laid there for quite some time and waited for the ambulance to get there. They put her on a backboard and loaded her into the ambulance. She was very concerned about her helmet and bike. Needless to say they are destroyed. They did five hours of testing at the hospital,but the doctor said it was like a miracle. She had no broken bones and no concussion. She has like whiplash and bruises all over her body.so they dismissed her two hours after all the testing. She and I went to lunch today and I just kept hugging her and being thankful that I still have a sister. Mary never does anything half-assed. I am so grateful.

I'm so relieved she's okay. That had to be one horrifying situation, and like unbelievable2. I hope the driver is prosecuted. (Well, actually I hope he/she is strung up by the short and curlies.)

Wow, she was really lucky not to be seriously hurt. Thank goodness for that!! I bet you're glad you were able to visit with her today and give her that hug up close and personal. *hugs*
