I wonder if there might be anything useful for her on freecycle.org -- it looks like they have some "branches" in Arizona. I don't really know anything about it except I think I remember snycock mentioning that she'd used it to pass on some things to other people, and I know it's free, and maybe somebody in your part of Arizona is offering something this woman and her kids could use?
And wow, yeah, I admire her attitude. I also have faith in it, for her and her kids.
