Samantha can't wait for tomorrow night. We're going to decorate the tree, wrap presents for other people, of course not for her and we're going to make cookies for the neighbors. I usally do that and it's time to get back into it. I hope you are all enjoying your holiday month.
Again, I have to thank

Well, they do now. My daughter, Chris got the baby a portable crib, which will be super nice in the small bedroom and she got the other two kiddo's clothing. Lisa, Duncan's Twin came to the rescue and bought tons of new clothes for all three kids and one blouse and scarf for the mom. Then Rodney and I picked up the toys for them. So, they are going to have a nice Christmas after all. She's going to be so pleased, not to mention surprised. And a friend of Lisa, Duncan's Twin is giving me a check for Christmas dinner fixings. So, they will be set. It turned out to be not such a horrible holiday season for her after all. Not that she complained, she's the sweetest girl I have ever met. Gentle and kind and always upbeat. I took some of this away from our day together. :) Grey is right, the holiday season is what you make of it. I'm going to give her some chocolate chips cookie dough rolls and she can bake cookies next week. :) She and our son, love cookies. Tom is really good friends with her. He worked two days extra this week so that he could make enough to get them all shoes and socks. It's working out. I forgot to mention that our other daughter, Shannon, will be making dinner and desserts on Christmas day. So, she's doing her part too. :)

Christmas is here for Samantha.
Dec. 7th, 2013 09:41 pmWe put the tree up tonight and decorated the house and tree. She was so excited. It takes so little to thrill an eight year old. I feel better now that it's done. I told her she owed a big thank you to Grey for this. :) So, she told me to tell you, thank you, Grey. Monday and Tuesday we're putthing the presents under the tree, so she'll be even more excited. :)
I'm not sure how to feel right now.
Dec. 7th, 2013 11:01 pmMy brother, Dan called and said that Mom has taken to her bed more and more every day and night. (She used to hate going to bed, it gave her hives if she slept too much.) But she told Dan tonight that she thinks she's ready to go to be with Dad. I understand that she's lonely, but Dan said it's more than that. Her dementia is worse and she just doesn't hardly eat any more. I don't know if a person can tell if they're going to die or not. So, I don't know how to feel about any of this. I feel sad, but yet happy at the idea of her being with Dad again. This would make her very happy. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. He's going to call if I need to go down.
