We saw Prisoners tonight...

and I was blown away by it. It's one powerful movie. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Hugh Jackman was excellent as one of the fathers and Jake Gyllenhaal was supurb in his role. Gosh, I don't have anything bad to say about it at all. It was 2 and a half hours long and sometimes it felt like nothing and other times it felt like 3 hours. It was a heavy duty film, that's for sure. Anyone else see it?

Hugs, Patt

I saw it a couple of weeks ago. It has some faults - mostly in the police side of things - but I agree it's a powerful film. I very much liked the ambiguity of the ending and I'm a person who doesn't usually like that at all. I don't demand a happy ending, but I do like closure. In Prisoners you're left with more questions, but it's good.
